1 Kilo — Berlin, Germany

1Kilo wishes they had designed the Swiss Army Knife—but this duo is already on the multifunctional cutting edge.

Berlin-based Swiss graphic designers Hansjakob Fehr and Dorothee Wettstein have sliced up image and information in exhibition projects like The Atlas of Shrinking Cities, and ever-surprising experiments on their website platform. For inspiration, 1 Kilo looks to the Dada movement of the early 19th-century, “a time when typography and graphic design were handled in a playful, experimental way — totally fresh and liberated.”
