Alexey Frolov — Saint-Petersburg, Russia

"I think that because all people are different, it is not necessary for everyone to attend some kind of art school to become a professional in the design industry. You need to love what you do and dig it like a mole."

Alex Frolov was born in Saint-Petersburg, which he regards as "the most beautiful city in the world". Still only 20, he started designing four years ago with Photoshop and received good feedback from his flickr blog. Later he opened a typography foundry and attracted thousands of followers for his free fonts and even received a call from Google Webfonts. He now collaborates with the Fontfabric type foundry. His experiments in motion design and abstract-video direction have been equally well received.
