David Alexander Slaager — Brussels, Belgium

"My images are quite soft and there is no content that is really offensive. On the other hand, I think that anyone who creates these kind of graphics is too easily labelled a 'pervert'. I think that whatever the direction of work is, the understanding is always different depending on the person. It is true, though, that sexually oriented images will always suffer from some clichés."

Regardless of their meaning, words can be sexy – if they're set in fonts designed by Brussels-based graphic designer David Alexander Slaager, whose skills-sets include video, photography and typography. His latest project is called fontsofchaos.com, an open type foundry that he shares with the world for free. He loves creating alternative typefaces for experimental artwork.
