Din-Dong – John Chan, Pam Hung — Hong Kong, China

"We hope not only to bring the character to life but also to create its own world. We see characters not as stand-alone individuals – they have their own friends, families, etc."

Din-dong is a two-man band consisting of John Chan and Pam Hung. It is also the name of their pet cat and the name of the main character they have created. Their "Hidden Elders" won a top prize in Japan and Din-Dong is screened there by the TV station BS. Their animation collections were picked to form part of the “Famous Animation Section” at the 34th Hong Kong International Film Festival, 2010, after which their creators were named “Best Artist” (Film) by the Arts Development Council.
