Emiliano Martinez — Montevideo, Uruguay

“I think the future for Uruguayan design will be dependent on the advance of communication creating a bigger involvement with designers from all over the world due to the effects of globalisation. Currently in my university there are more chances to study through scholarships and I do believe that local designers now have more chances of gaining worldwide recognition.”

Emiliano Martinez is a 27-year-old graphic-design student who really enjoys turning industrial-engineering design and engine-repair manuals into inspirational drawings. By using original or modified parts of industrial manuals, he manages to create unique characters such as robots and animals in a perfectly positioned visual dimension.
