Hong Ka Lok — Macao

Through branding design, the aim of "Day-To-Day" project is to transform Macau’s historic heritage effectively so that it can fit in with modern society. Fun products have also been created to remind viewers of the enjoyment of life in this beautiful city and also to help them understand the stories behind it.

Hong Ka Lok is a post-’90s designer from Macau who has created an analytical project for traditional handicrafts and culture in the territory as an extended creation of his graduation project, Day-To-Day. This examines the value and significance of local culture in today’s Macau on an everyday basis. It attempts to search for solutions in design that have a valuable cultural inheritance. The combination of vivid local elements and day-to-day cultural life creates a colourful, eye-catching theme.
