Justin Blyth — Amsterdam, The Netherlands

“I see glitch as a break in the ‘normal’, or a deviation from what is expected. Whether it’s in music or art, if something jumps out of place when you least expect it to, that’s a glitch. Glitch keeps things interesting because it retains out attention – things take shape in the least logical place, the last place we would expect to see or hear them.

Growing up in Los Angeles, surrounded by hippies, guns, motorcycles, skateboards, palm trees and paint markers, Justin Blyth learned to draw by candlelight on bar napkins as child, eventually attending the Art Center in the early 2000s. Black-and-white has always played a big role in his work. Blyth currently lives in Amsterdam, working directly with clients, agencies and boutiques.
