MASA — Mexico City, Mexico

“Our design is evolving in a new wave of designers as entrepreneurs. They are way more involved and aware of their social responsibility than the previous generation. Things are moving very fast, especially in New Media technology areas such as U/I web design, digital publications and apps. And there is a growing number of cultural and fashion clients.”

Bold and colourful are certainly adjectives that can be applied to the work of this Mexican graphic designer. Miguel Vásquez aka Masa has a strong relationship with the world of Latin-American pop and contemporary street-culture forms and merges these influences to produce a crossover where urban and folklore references become blended together to produce distinctive results.
