Pill & Pillow — Hong Kong, China

"The way to survive in this industry, and to get yourself noticed in such a competitive market, is to make interesting work. If someone has done it before you, don’t do it again. The work has to be honest, and to speak for your own character."

The market for smartphone applications is growing rapidly and one of the best operators in this field is Henry Chu, creator of the music app SoundYeah, whose work in New Media and interactive web design has won various awards. After graduating from the University of Auckland with a degree in electronic and electric engineering, he returned to Hong Kong and began working in digital design in 1998. In 2004, he founded his own design studio Pill & Pillow. In addition, he teaches at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the School of Creative Media of City University and The Art School.
