R2 – Liza Ramalho, Artur Rebelo — Porto, Portugal

"Design allows us to become involved with diverse projects and to work with different contents from areas that particularly interest us. We are constantly learning about other fields, which allows us to grow and eventually makes us re-think our models and concepts. In this profession we can experiment, research and carry out projects exploring different means — static, sequential or interactive – as well as different materials, such as paper, screen-printing or even concrete."

One of the most highly regarded design studios in Portugal, R2 is the creation of two brilliant designers, Liza Ramalho and Artur Rebelo. The duo has developed a non-systematic approach to projects, each one being analysed strictly on its own merits and creative requirements. Different means as well as different materials are employed, often with illustrative elements to make for compelling visual communication. The studio works for a wide range of clients, creating projects including identity, posters, books and exhibition design.
