“A few years ago while developing the packaging for a project called Crochet, we faced some difficulties in trying to mimic the feeling of this typical Portuguese craft. We developed an innovative box in white cardboard where the crochet design is laser-cut in order to create the same effect as real embroidery. As this was a recent technique at the time, the first samples got burned. We studied different solutions until we finally achieved a very feminine and elegant effect, yet simple and affordable. In the end, the whole packaging was a success and we won a Gold Pentaward.”
This Portuguese specialist design studio sees its job as “transforming different concepts into a reality and building a visual narrative that is unique and true”.
