Open Walls Gallery — PAPER WORKS — Berlin, Germany — 1-17 DEC 2016
OPEN WALLS Gallery, Schröderstr. 11.1, 10115 Berlin
There’s this saying that just because something is traditional, there’s no reason whatsoever to do it. A fitting statement for Urban Art in particular, as it is about changing the existing parameters of how art can be valued and evaluated. The last weeks proved though, that the lunatics have finally taken over the asylum — so sticking to certain traditions suddenly presents itself as an exceedingly desirable and overall promising option. So why not combining the best of both worlds? OPEN WALLS Gallery is happy to invite you to its annual PAPER WORKS exhibition as this year is now drawing to an end. This group show will present work from renowned artists such as Vermibus, Alias, Madame, Marok, Anton Unai and SP38 (just to name a few), whose affinity to use paper in manifold ways — ranging from collage, elaborate sketches, screen prints and drawings to original works — connects their very distinct style.
