In this issue, we put paper centre-stage — and talk to six designers , who, although are from distinct design disciplines , all treat paper as the muse in their creations. Making paper their star performer, each of them, including Elisabeth leCourt, Zoe Bradley and Taviori, turns this magic material into stand-alone works of art in uniquely diverse ways. Forming Paris - Championing graffiti art in Paris In this column, we take a closer look at a more alternative and off-beat form of art gallery in Paris — where art works are exhibited in more neighborly venues like restaurants, cafes or shopping malls. This enables people to appreciate art while having a cup of tea or shopping instead of having to make a specific visit somewhere to do so, and thus helps make art a more integral part of daily living. Typography - Lineto, a bunch of dedicated types In this feature we talk to one of the founders of Lineto, a collective project of some 20 designers for typefaces design. More than a normal type foundry, Lineto concentrates upon typographic preservation, which is especially important to our epoch where technologies may endanger some of the most sculpturally, unconventionally or even robustly designed typefaces.
