Made in Japan is second book from Labyrint Publishing’s Fresh Eye edition. Essays on japanese pop-culture are written by young authors with a fresh yet informative view. I didn’t want to make the book look ‘japanese’ by using japanese looking fonts and sakura flower. My aim was to transfer my own feelings and interpret approaches used in Japan’s pop culture. For example, the (mis)use of latin fonts, garish visuality, a lollypop feeling.
