Valentina Schulte — Our Silent Guardians — Sydney, Australia

Valentina Schulte’s Our Silent Guardians was selected as the major award winner for the 2017 Perth Centre for Photography CLIP Award. The CLIP Award is for contemporary landscapes in photography with the selection criteria focusing on images which are original, stimulating, and that challenge traditional notions of landscape photography. Inspired by the beauty of the landscape and the ancient symbolism within nature, ‘Our Silent Guardians’ is a reimagining with the aim of creating a wholly new alpine landscape, bringing focus to the intrinsically beautiful details depicted in each image of the various mountain peaks.
