Benoît Bodhuin — Lille, France

“Mineral” is a glittering but very readable font with letters fractured into multiple tetragonal splinters, rectangular modules slightly spaced, like quartz and pixels. It is a Kapla-style construction, with stencil properties in the solid version, and comes in two stylistic titling alternatives, Border and Outline.

Benoît Bodhuin, a French typographer from Lille, burst upon the typographic world relatively recently with his foundry Benbenworld — and its radical new “Mineral” font. Holding a degree in mathematics, Benoit has applied this knowledge in his type experimentation, achieving some truly impressive results.
