What is the attraction of collages and montages? “The freedom to experiment with different approaches and blend them together. As a visual artist, my ambition is to craft diverse worlds that the viewer can experience. These worlds can be composed of paper, metal, textile, or combinations thereof. Through this approach, I am not only able to convey stories and narratives but also evoke a range of emotions, moods, or ideas. This ‘hidden’ layer of my work is something I truly enjoy.”

Eiko Ojala is a renowned illustrator who works mostly digitally and draws everything by hand. Within his work process he likes to study the forms of shapes and to work closely with light and shadow. He keeps his illustrations minimal and combines consummate craftsmanship with a healthy sprinkling of wit.
