Hyesu Lee — Seoul, South Korea / New York, USA

"It is not always easy to remain as a creative artist, because we all know that artists also need to make money, and being a creative artist doesn’t necessarily mean you can make a living out of it. However, you wouldn’t want to stop being one no matter how difficult it is because you are so lucky to be given a chance to share your thoughts, feelings and ideas with everyone. Because I believe that anything warm and cheerful is highly contagious."

Born and raised in Seoul, graphic designer Hyesu Lee decided to move to London after having worked in the design field for a few years. She has published three books, for which she produced both the words and illustrations herself. Her work has been exhibited in New York, London and Seoul and she has undertaken various projects for editorial clients including The New Yorker and Plansponsor Magazine.
