“The local design scene, as opposed to the advertising scene where I worked before, is less about the big brands and more about the freedom and time to create something awesome. Animators and illustrators that I know really have a passion for what they do and my experience is also that they’re all a little bit weird, in a good way.”
Lienke Raben is a designer and illustrator from The Netherlands. Her style is graphic, doodle-ish and character-driven. She loves to draw monsters and weird characters – digitally, but also or even preferably with paint markers on paper, on walls or on surfboards. This is what she does on evenings and at weekends. On weekdays, she works as a designer and illustrator at the animation-visualisation agency In60seconds in Amsterdam.
