“For me, there is a big difference between looking at an artwork/poster design on a computer screen compared to a physical print. It’s always very exciting to see your design in print for the first time after working on it on the computer for several hours. It then becomes real in a sense. Also, when experimenting with choice of paper, foil or embossing, there are no digital substitutes.”

A Stockholm-based designer specialising in hand-drawn typography with a high level of detail and diligence, Martin Schmetzer is a part of Sweden’s most renowned illustration agency, Rithuset. He works alongside multi-disciplinary artists of varying styles. His day-to-day consists of designing logotypes, packaging, custom typography and illustrations.
