What is the most memorable piece of typography you have come across? “All vernacular typography. I lived for many years in Italy, and I was in love each time I came across a new (to me) vernacular old-type design on a shop-front or simply by chance somewhere along the street. Vernacular lettering can provide spirited inspiration for type design.”
