Raphaël Vicenzi — Brussels, Belgium

I think it is because Brussels is very multi-cultural and at the centre of Europe. It’s easy to get to France from here, or the UK or the Netherlands. It’s not a big city, after all.

Based in Brussels, Raphael Vicenzi is a self-taught freelance illustrator. His work often employs women as its subject matter, with bittersweet overtones and delicate, hand-drawn typography. His work is often executed in water-colours using very fine brush-strokes, that give it a decidedly poetic feel.
