Tingyi believes that a user-friendly signage system will result in a heightened understanding and awareness of emergency safety information by the public. And that a wide distribution of aesthetic and functional design visuals will train people to recognise the system instantly without any hesitation.

As the World Design Capital for 2016, Taipei will have the responsibility of assisting both visitors and locals to respond appropriately in emergency situations. Hence the “Escort: Safety Wayfinding Signage Design Exhibition” for which a Taiwanese design team has created a concise, uniform and aesthetically pleasing visual signage system to enable visitors to become acquainted with the keys to perambulating the city through simulation activity.
