In 2017, Canada will mark the 150th anniversary of its confederation. The current logo for this was selected from a contest open to students only, and not surprisingly, fails on many fronts. We would create a brand and symbol that communicates what Canada is and what it means to us and to the world. The symbol should be bold, confident and elegant, and also contain an idea that is memorable and distinct. This anniversary is the perfect opportunity to show the world Canada’s potential for creating great design and to give our country a proper representation for its 150 years.
