You Were In My Dream — Melbourne, Australia

"When designing a website, it’s important to consider the information you want to deliver and who your audience is. We wanted our website to re-create the mood of the artwork so we made a lot of the buttons with hand-cut paper and included a lot of the artwork from the animation. We wanted the website to be a very comprehensive documentation of the artwork so that people could read all about it if they were curious."

You Were In My Dream is an interactive installation created by Isobel Knowles and Van Sowerwine. It takes a live video feed of your face and combines it into a stop-motion dream world. Their interactive installations have been exhibited at the ICA London, FACT Liverpool, Media City Seoul and the Art Gallery of NSW. You Were In My Dream won the 2010 Premier of Queensland’s National New Media Art Award, Australia’s most significant prize for New Media. You Were In My Dream was programmed by Tarwin Stroh-Spijer from Touch My Pixel.
