Zédapaz — London, UK

“The colors that I use are Nature-related or just highly contrasted,” reckons Zédapaz. “My purpose is to get to the essence of things. Sometimes the work has to speak, at other times it has to yell. Neutrality never comes into it.”

The Portuguese designer describes his work as being about coming up with good ideas that connect people with the world, with an accent on clean design, colour, typography, organic and geometric illustrations, photography and dynamic compositions. Zédapaz started out drawing and painting on a daily basis and, after switching to computer-based design for a while and discovering that it actually seemed to limit his creativity, he went back to basics and continued producing art made by hand, with only an occasional technological tweak.
