Pioneers of pixel art – Kai Vermehr, Steffen Sauerteig and Svend Smital – formed eBoy in 1997 with the acquisition of the eBoy.com domain. The basic idea driving eBoy was to embrace the new possibilities of the emerging digital world. They create re-usable pixel objects and take them to build complex and extensible artwork, and they also make toys.
