photoAlquimia — Madrid, Spain

“The increase of waste from packaging is a big problem globally. We should aim for environmentally friendly packaging solutions and use re-cyclable materials. It must effectively protect the pieces it contains on a ‘Less is more’ principle. There must be a good balance between the cost of packaging and the product it contains. Then we can design opening systems and packaging concepts that generate a rich interaction with the consumer.”

photoAlquimia is a Spanish design studio engaged in providing the public “with creative solutions to develop spaces, objects and events”. Nature, trades and different techniques in handcraft are its main sources of inspiration it says, and goes on to claim that “if you are able to sit quietly and observe, Nature will give you answers of unimaginable value”.
