The Valencian studio La Mamba has reinterpreted the large-format porcelain tiles of URBATEK with a decidedly warm, Mediterranean character, creating new applications that provide a fresh view of the product as a design material. This warmth is transmitted via the mix of marbles, cements, woods and oxidised metals that, combined with the quality of the porcelain, generate real compositions for the home, for contract spaces and offices, assisted by comfortable shapes and natural details, as well as furniture.
A sophisticated proposal that advocates the application of this innovative ceramic material as a surface for cupboards, sideboards and tables, for both home and office. Some examples of this are the unique design proposals presented in collaboration with the furniture company Actiu, a recent winner of the National Design Award, where desks and meeting tables have been topped with some of the company’s porcelain materials. Furthermore, with the sofa firm Carmenes, the tables of the Downtown collection have been adapted with the use of XTONE and XLIGHT Premium marbles.
