What makes a good publication design? We tend not to think of publication design merely as a series of page or spread layouts but more in terms of the entire three-dimensional object; the tactile experience that combines various textures of different paper choices, binding techniques, print finishes, edge blocking, ribbon and cloth choice, etc, etc. There are so many different aspects that go beyond the choice of photography and typography that can make or break the overall experience of holding a book in your hands, turning the pages and absorbing the content. We want to create books that people will want to return to many times over.
