Fowkes has gained a lot of attention from brands across the world and has created typographic work displayed on the London Underground, inside pop star Olly Murs’s residential property, an advertising campaign for Fila in Japan and across a multitude of 02 Academy music venues up and down the UK.
If you have an affinity with typography, you will probably fall in love with Alex Fowkes’s work. He got off to a very good start by being labelled as “one to watch” by Creative Review in 2010, right after he graduated from university. He kicked off his career with a project for Sony Music Timline, a 150-sq-m typographic homage to every artist that has worked with Sony and its affiliated labels since 1887.
