Anne Jordan — Rochester, New York, USA

“The printed poster confronts scale, environment and materiality in a concrete way that our digital screens do not. The poster has a physical body and exists in a physical world. It invites us to look up from our phones and see the world around us. There’s great value in this invitation, both psychologically and culturally. The poster is an ideal opportunity to explore the intersection of typography and materials. The format provides an expansive, luxurious blank page where anything is possible and visual innovation is treasured.”

Anne Jordan designs book covers, posters and other graphic objects in Rochester, New York. Her work explores the intersection of typography and materials. She frequently collaborates with her husband, Mitch Goldstein. Jordan earned a BFA in graphic design from Rhode Island School of Design, and an MFA in design/visual communications from Virginia Commonwealth University, School of the Arts.
