“People are losing sight of the hand-made pattern in this digital age. I prefer to make patterns by hand. Exploring the limitations of materials and pushing the boundaries of different techniques are really interesting for me. Software has advantages, but making patterns manually is great too.”
A graduate of visual-communication design at Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, New York City with a BA in industrial design, Wang reckons her diverse background strengthened her creative thinking and helped her become a multi-disciplinary strategic designer.
