Carnovsky — Milan, Italy

“Colour is a key issue in our work, and it is so because it is a key issue in our life – we love primary colours, for the purity and strength they have. Even before starting Carnovsky, printing techniques and light have always been two fields that we really care about and in which we have always wanted to work, so it all began doing some experiments with them.”

Carnovsky is a designer/artist duo comprised of Francesco Rugi (Italy, 1977) and Silvia Quintanilla (Colombia, 1979), active in Milan since 2007. Its best-known project is titled RGB. Presented for the first time in 2010 and still being developed, this has received considerable recognition from the press and the public, both in Italy and abroad, and has been showcased at various international exhibitions.
