César Moreno — Puerto Morelos, México

“I do think that when an event, character, creation or trend permeates a society long enough, it transcends into a culture, and the way we represent that culture from our individual idiosyncrasies is through Pop Graphics. I am a Mexican commercial illustrator working for clients all over the world, and I usually solve my projects with the saturation of ornaments and colours that are characteristic of Mexican culture from pre-Hispanic times to urban modernity, and these influences allow me to add a de-contextualised approach to my work that can be refreshing in times of global syncretism.”

César Moreno is a Mexican art director, graphic designer and illustrator based in the Mexican Caribbean. He has dedicated his most lucid hours for the past 25 years to working on visual projects involving pop culture, sports and México.
