Charley Massiera — Paris, France

“I now have my own graphic-design studio, and in order to stay focused on my work, I always keep in mind the ten rules in How To Work Better, by Peter Fischli and David Weiss: 1. Do one thing at a time. 2. Know the problem. 3. Learn to listen. 4. Learn to ask questions. 5. Distinguish sense from nonsense. 6. Accept that change is inevitable. 7. Admit mistakes. 8. Say it simple. 9. Be calm. 10. Smile.”

Pointed in the right career direction by a sympathetic art teacher, French graphic designer Charley Massiera has gone on to specialise in brand identity design and corporate and cultural identity as well as publishing and corporate communication. His creative process encourages experimentation, creative thinking and revolves mainly around typography as a vehicle for delivering content. He employs a bold use of graphics and always takes the time for thoughtful information-processing.
