“A clear hierarchy is the most essential element of good editorial design. It may sound basic, but the most important information on the page has to really stand out. It’s easy to get lost in trying to make the other elements more stylish and trendy, but one has to remember that the main goal of editorial design is to inform. This was one of the lessons I learned in magazine publishing, and is something I remember every time I design.”
