Cocolia – Raúl Ramos, Mireia Ruiz — Barcelona, Spain

“When a few years ago we decided to re-define the studio’s approach, we knew there was going to be a characteristic that would define us: the use of colour in a positive and energetic way.”

After picking Cocolia as their studio name, the founders discovered that it means ‘crab’ in Puerto Rican culture, which is why they use the crustacian as their hashtag. The idea for the name came from the Spanish expression “dar vueltas al coco”, which means “wrap your mind around”, but they also felt that it highlighted their colourful and tropical touch.
