What is the most memorable piece of illustration you have come across? “I love vintage travel posters from the early 20th century, the way they’re printed, the compositions, the charm, etc. I also admire the work of M. Sasek, whose beautiful depictions of cities and busy scenes withstand the test of time.”

David Doran is an award-winning illustrator based in Falmouth, UK. From his studio by the water, he works across a variety of contexts with international brands, magazines, newspapers and publishers, creating illustrations of all shapes and sizes. He has enjoyed working on editorials for The New Yorker, New York Times and The Guardian, and advertising campaigns for Apple, Nespresso and BAFTA.
