“A lot of game enthusiasts dream of a new board game. In general, we believe that the most fascinating things are often in front of us. During our work on board-game history, we realised that simplification is one of the key factors of Game Art Design. The next big thing, therefore, could be a complex but graphically simplified board game supported with interactive contents of a video, app, or even virtual reality.”

Hibird Books is an independent publishing house, specialising in interactive books, special editions and artists’ books. It was founded in 2018 by graphic designer Hana Jesih, who holds a Master’s degree in Visual Communication Design from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Ljubljana, and architect Peter Plantan, who graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the same university.
