What is the most memorable piece of typography you have come across? “I’m a sucker for the typographic work of Erich Strenger for Porsche.”
House Industries is a design studio that was born with one foot in the analogue world and one in the digital. Its approach is rooted in drawing, painting and lettering that it believes gives its work “a warmth and soul which comes through in everything we make, from simple children’s blocks to digital fonts that help the world communicate”. It has worked or collaborated with Jimmy Kimmel, Hermès, The New Yorker, John Mayer, Muji, the Eames Office, Lego, Disney and Heath Ceramics. And its work is featured in the permanent collections of The Smithsonian’s Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum and The Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation.
