Jad Maza — Iloilo, Philippines

“Usually, there are certain parameters to follow so that letterforms become readable when set in a paragraph. With display typefaces, this isn’t an issue — you are free to add as much character to the characters in your font as you wish. Jad Maza is a Filipino designer hailing from Iloilo province. Sparked by a passion project, his type design practice focuses on developing Latin and Baybayin fonts and explores what more type design can look like in the Filipino context.
