“It is very easy for patterns to become too busy and make too much noise. For me, patterns that are dynamic and powerful but stay simple and calm are the most successful. Keeping that balance is an essential element for designing patterns and it is something I try to master while designing my own.”
Native Northern Virginian Jamie Alloy is a student living in Philadelphia. She will be graduating in the Spring of 2017 with her BFA in graphic and interactive design from the Tyler School of Art at Temple University. She is passionate about all types of design, but is currently most interested in illustration and packaging.
