Kitmen Keung — Hong Kong

”It seems that people are at last tired of huge shopping malls and glitzy commercial buildings, and the market is becoming more diverse.”

Currently based in both Hong Kong and Montreal, industrial designer Kitmen Keung has developed a strong minimalist style. His relationship with Hong Kong is complicated, but there is no doubt that his design has been inspired by the uniqueness of its environment and culture. He moved to Canada with his parents at the age of 14 and after graduating from the art institute Royal Oak College, he went to Milan to study for an MA in design at the Domus Academy. He has recently worked with Belgian furniture brand Sixinch on a debut project called Dual Cut.
