Lotie — Paris, France

Lotie tends a visual fantasy garden of flowers, photos, and renderings of the human form.

A self-taught illustrator, Lotie devoted herself to drawing only after studying history, art history, and communication at the Sorbonne. Her studies in these fields, as well as her mother’s fairy-tale books, Japanese comics, and Gustave Doré, help inform her dreamy universes of Indian ink and pencil.
