Mattias Lundin — Gothenburg, Sweden

“Different materials have different challenges. Cardboard is lovely to work with and has a lot of nice, natural flaws, but sometimes it can be hard to predict how different colours will behave on it. I learned the hard way that neon colours can easily be scratched off from the surface.”

Mattias Lundin’s creative studio Ink Graphix was founded in Gothenburg, Sweden in 1996. From it, he has produced countless records covers, logos, illustrations, branding and packaging designs for clients such as Nike, Adidas, The Washington Post, Sony, Universal, Warner, EMI, Ica, Arla and numerous other brands, artists and labels. In 2002 he was nominated for the Swedish Nöjesguiden Best Graphic Design Award and in 2015 he won The Award of Excellence from the Society for News Design Annual for his editorial illustration for The Washington Post.
