Mike McQuade — Chicago, USA

"I think a good logo should communicate and convey something about the business/individual in a smart, clever and unexpected way. The most common misunderstanding people have about logo design is crowd sourcing. Clients sometimes feel that the more they have to look at, the better the end result will be. I strongly disagree with this method and think that a client should hire a designer whose work really speaks to them and their vision for the logo."

Mike McQuade graduated from the Art Institute of Philadelphia in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design. He is currently working as an independent graphic designer/illustrator on a variety of projects for various clients internationally. McQuade is obsessed with process and constantly pushes himself to learn more about his craft and how he can use graphic design to provide clients with unique “smart solutions”.
