The resulting artwork is tactile and moves with the cityscape. The work only finds its true meaning once an interaction with a passer-by takes place.

Street artists often adopt pseudonyms for obvious reasons, their means of self-expression often being subject to legal persecution. “r1” is one such who believes that the city streets should belong to everyone and that one should be whoever one wants to be. The mysterious artist known only as “r1” uses the urban environment as an open canvas, collecting everyday items found on his/her travels and transforming them and placing them back where they came from, to become part of the city’s journey.
