Stripes and polka dots are classic favourites. I think a good pattern is not about how it repeats nor the style, more importantly it is about the scale and its application. I like to think of patterns as looping animations. After observing the visual language, it still invites you to explore it again and again.
Santtu Mustonen is a Finnish illustrator living and working in New York City. Organic patterns, natural science and movement inspire his work, which combines handcrafted and analog textures in a digital space.
