What makes a good packaging design? “When I design a product, I always think about its target audience. First of all, about the problems that can be solved thanks to my design. For example, my toothpaste was focused on a wealthy person who has little time and a lot of business trips, and as a result I came up with a design that stands out on the shelf and has mini-packaging that does not take up much space in the bag.”
Having studied communication design at art school, Sasha Samsonova’s range of activities now covers branding and identity, design of books and magazines and packaging design, among others. “Most of all,” she says, “I like to create multi-page editions, so I dream of an internship at some famous magazine.”
